CFNC Financial Aid Regional Training

February is Financial Aid Awareness Month - and we’re celebrating by bringing a CFNC Financial Aid Regional Training right to your area!

Agenda:

Join us for an action-packed, one-day learning experience designed to equip you with the tools, insights, and confidence to better support your students on their path to FAFSA completion and higher education attainment.

During this interactive training, you’ll discover how to:

• Navigate the full range of state financial aid programs available to your students
• Confidently guide students through tricky or uncommon financial aid situations
• Leverage your FAFSA data to identify needs and strategically support the students who rely on you most

We will also feature information about local college scholarships and aid, including how to help students avoid the most common scholarship application mistakes.

You’ll leave with ready-to-use materials to power your FAFSA February events and with a clear roadmap to becoming a true Financial Aid Champion at your school.

What to Know Before You Go

• CEUs are available for participants who attend the full training (sign-in and sign-out required).
• Printed materials for FAFSA February and College Decision Day events will be available for pickup. (limited premium items will be raffled off to lucky attendees!)
• Bring your laptop for an engaging, hands-on FAFSA data session.
• Lunch is provided - come ready to learn, connect, and enjoy!

Schedule:

• 8:30 am - 9:00 am Registration check in
• 9:00 am - 2:25 pm Financial aid programming and planning
• 2:25 pm - 2:30 pm Raffle off premium FAFSA/College Decision Day event materials and wrap up

Please arrive by 7:30 am to park at the Latham Parking Deck, located on E. Lawson Street. Shuttles will be available for transportation. It is about a 30 minute walk from the parking deck to the student center.
